Gongsun Yuan (公孫媛) is the only daughter of the former Governor of Shuo Province, Gongsun Heng. Following the death of her parents, she was placed in the care of Qin Gu. After Qin Gu managed to return to Chang'an with the Yanghangmen, she remained in the city in the new Qin mansion with Xu Feng.

Yuan is a stubborn but adorable girl. She does not enjoy studying, even though she has to as she is under the guise of a noble in Chang'an. She constantly hides from her maids so that she does not have to go to class, and Xu Feng is usually the only one who knows where to find her. He manages to convince her to go to class by reminding her that Changge had to study much more when she was Yuan's age.
