Mujin is the general and right-hand strategist under Ashina Sun. He is a loyal companion to Sun since they were kids, referring to Sun as his only kinsman. Therefore, he is often the one responsible for cleaning up after Sun's selfless but reckless decisions. Mujin always follows Ashina Sun into battle, for numbers and .
When Sun to search for Changge and ventures to discover his origin, Mujin stays behind in Sun's Khagnate to administer any responsibilities on his behalf. However, after Sun's discovery of his Khitan origin, the Great Khan sends them on suicide mission against the Uyghurs to challenge his loyalty. To protect Mujin, Sun sends him back to inform the Great Khan about She'ers coup attempt while he strikes a truce deal with Pusa. Much to his reluctance, Mujin agrees to return but swears that if Sun does not safely come back in time, he will risk his life on a revenge battle on the Great Khan's army.
Appearance[]
Mujin is tall and slender. As a mixed person, he inherits his blone hair from his Uyhgur father, which he wears as a long braid.
Personality[]
He is a cunning and cautious strategist. He is also highly protective of Sun for knowing his selflessness and recklessness. Opposite to Sun, he does not trust Changge right away, suspecting her disinterested attitude to either doubts or rewards.
Despite being a little playful and sarcastic sometimes, he is an extremely loyal friend.
History[]
Mujin was originally a slave in Jieli Khan's Khagnate. He was rescued by Sun from being beaten Ashina She'er for throwing rocks at his wolves in Jieli Khan's camp. When Sun is attacked by She'er wolves, an elderly slave who looks out for Mujin, advised him to stay out of the two masters' business if he does not want to be skinned alive. After the whole ordeal, Sun took Mujin in as his warrior companion.
He soon realized that he must strive to become the smart one since his master "might be an idiot." . In his tent, Sun' reasoned with him that although he was five and She'er was eight, they were already equally matched; therefore, he would definitely kick She'er's ass when he eventually turned eight. When Mujin returned to his slave quarter, he asked the elderly slave to teach him all about numbers and calculations in exchange for food and shelter.

Ashina Sun[]
Mujin is Sun's general and confidant. He is most familiar with Sun's selflessness and recklessness, hence, he is often depicted to be protective of him since he considers Sun his only kinsman.
During the siege of Zhangzhou, Mujin follows Sun into battle as as a quartermaster to look after the loot counts from the city. After Sun brings back Changge as prisoner, he gradually trusts her and promotes Changge to be his strategist. However, Mujin still maintains a suspicious attitude towards Changge, trying his best to look out for Sun. When Sun falls into She'er trap during the Pika Clan massacre, Mujin quickly rushes the wounded Sun back to the camp, narrowly escaping She'er's pursuit under Changge's reinforcement.
When Sun is on the search for Changge and his origin. Muji stays at Sun's Khagnate to administer any responsibilities on his behalf, making excuses for his absence. However, when the Great Khan's envoy grows impatient, Mujin risks his life to get rid of the envoy, pretending that they have never received any order. Luckily, Sun returns just in time and convincingly proceeds with Mujin's lies about him going on a long hunting trip. As a result, Mujin is genuinely surprised at Sun's cunning but merciful side since the last time they met. He also teases Sun after sensing his crush on Changge by tricking his Han-illiterate friend into writing "The little strategist looks pretty. I like." in a letter for Changge.
Before their suicide mission against the Uyghurs, Sun wants to protect Mujin by sending him back to inform the Great Khan about She'ers coup attempt while he strikes a truce deal with Pusa. Li Changge[]
They are both cunning strategists under the command of Ashina Sun and often the ones to resolve Sun's reckless decisions. Despite Sun's trust in Changge, Mujin still maintains a suspicious attitude towards her, pointing out her nonchalant reaction to either doubts or rewards.
Abilities[]
As a strategist, Mujin possesses great tactician and calculating skills. He also acts as a quartermaster in Sun's camp, responsible for counting the loots and allocating resources. However, he is not an avid archer since he often finds it difficult to aim at a running target, ie. during a hunt or his envoy assassination attempt.
He is also known for his diplomatic skills, often representing Sun in banquet meetings or veiling over Sun's absence.
Mujin can speak and write in the language of the Turks and Hans.
